THE NFEC IS CELEBRATING ITS 40th ANNIVERSARY WITH CHILI NIGHT

Place: Martha Clara Vineyards, Sound Ave, Riverhead
 
This year, in honor of our 40th anniversary, the event will include:

– "Photo What's Left” Exhibit and Sale to benefit the NFEC, Riverhead Neighborhood Preservation Coalition (RNPC) and Save Main Rd efforts
– Recognition of Glynis Berry and her long-time contributions to the North Fork
– A brief film tribute to Paul Stoutenburgh, former NFEC president
– A remembrance of the late Frank Wills, former NFEC president

There will be a $5 surcharge for tickets bought at the door.

Tom Damiani – The Singin’ DJ -- will be providing the music. Everyone attending will receive a complimentary glass of wine and a chance to sample the chili entries, in addition to cornbread, salad and dessert. After presentation of the awards to the Chili contest winners, there will be a raffle of the donations made by supporting businesses and friends of the NFEC.

The line-up of restaurants vying for the title of Best Chili, Best Specialty Chili and The People's Choice includes:
Bonnie Jean's (Southold) – Cliff's Elbow Room (Jamesport) – Crazy Fork (Mattituck) – Four Doors Down (Mattituck) – Lobster Roll Northside (Riverhead) –Love Lane Kitchen (Mattituck) –North Road Deli (Southold)

Entries in the "Photo What's Left" contest will be judged during the week of October 15 and winners will be announced during Chili Night. All entries will be on display throughout the evening and those in attendance may bid on the photos through a silent auction. Proceeds from the sale of the photos will be shared between the photographer, the NFEC, the RNPC and the Save Main Road effort. The deadline for entries is October 12.
