Greetings from the North Fork
The North Fork Promotion Council, Inc. (NFPC) has been helping to promote
local businesses for over 21 years. The original "Southold Promotion Committee" was comprised of the
three North Fork Chambers of Commerce. It evolved into the NFPC in 1995 and currently represents 11 business organizations
with a combined membership of over 500 businesses.
The mission of the NFPC is a cooperative initiative to promote the North Fork of Long Island through strategic
marketing and advertising to enhance the economy while preserving the environment and quality of life.
This strategy is executed through the distribution of the North Fork Guide; the NFPC Calendar of Events; the Laurel
and Greenport Information Booths; the NFPC website; The New York Times and The Boston Globe Trade Shows; and an
NFPC personalized telephone/mailing response system. The advertising campaign focuses on a number of tri-state
distributions and the promotion of downtown business areas and events.
An effective partnership between a co-operative business community and a responsive local government is the vitally
important factor in the accomplishment of the NFPC.
